Installation ceremony of Lions club Padubidri - Ln. P. Sadashiv Achar is the new president

Padubidri, July 19th, 2012:  Ln. Sadashiv Achar and his team for the lionistic year 2012-13 was installed by Lions Past District Governor Ln. Suresh Shetty, mjf, at a ceremony held at Lions English Medium High School in Padubidri on Wednesday night.  The team included  Ln. Vishu Kumar Shetty as secretary, Ln. Ramesh Achar, mjf, as the treasurer, Lns. Sudha R. Navada as Lioness President, Lns. Bhargavi S. Achar as the Lioness secretary, Lns. Shakunthala R. Achar as Lioness Treasurer.  Ln. Dr. N.T. Anchan, mjf, welcomed the guests. 

Ln. Suresh Shetty lauded the efforts of Padubidri Lions club in the field of education by successfully establishing and managing an English Medium School.  Two new members - Prakash Shetty Padebettu and Jithendra Furtado were inducted during the occasion.  Outgoing president Ln. Dr. N.T. Anchan thanked all lion members for their support during his tenure and presented mementos to them.

Region Chairperson Ln. S. Rajgopal, Zone Chairperson Ln. G.B. Menezes, District Cabinet Secretary Ln. K. Panduranga Achar, Region Secretary Ln. H. Srinivas Pai were the guests on the dais.  Members of Lions Club Padubidri, president and members from neighbouring clubs in the zone and the region, Lions District Cabinet members, Rotary and JCI presidents and other invitees were present during the ceremony.  Ln. Dr. N.T. Anchan was felicitated during the occasion.  Two service projects were also carried out in the form of donations towards school fees.

Lion Y. Gopal Shetty was the master of ceremonies.  Lions secretary Vishu Kumar Shetty proposed vote of thanks.
