'Chappara Mahoorta' for Vishwa GSB Sammelan held
Padubidri, Dec. 9th, 2016:  'Chappara Mahoorta' for Vishwa GSB Sammelana was held at Hejmady Basti Padpu grounds on Friday morning at 9 am.  Vedamoorthy Padubidri Vidyavant Bhat performed the mahoorta ritual ceremony.  After a special morning pooja ceremony at Hejmady Shri Laxminarayana temple, the chappara mahoorta was initiated by breaking a coconut by Mumbai's Natural ice cream Managing Director Raghunandan S. Kamath. An arecanut tree trunk was erected in the venue ground as per the tradition.
he venue will have a large pendal with a seating capacity of 30,000 people, a well furnished stage with audio visual system, dining hall, kitchen, drinking water facility, exhibition space, toilet facility and parking space, as per the information given by Ganesh Kamath, the owner of GK Decorators Moodbidri.

Speaking on the  occasion, Yogeesh Bhat, the former Deputy Speaker of Karnataka State Vidhan Sabha, said that the historical Vishwa GSB Sammelana is drawing attention by its national thinking and National Defense Fund drive.  He also said that the Defence Minister of India Mr. Manohar Parrikar will be visiting the Udupi district for the first time and he will be giving new direction to social unity and welfare prgorammes with national thinking.

Hejmady Grama Panchayat president Vishalakshi Umesh Puthran, vice president Sudhakar Karkera, Taluk panchayat member Renuka and Zilla panchayat member Shashikanth Padubidri were present and expressed happiness over the conference attracting worldwide attention and assured full cooperation to the event.

Conference General secretary Nandagopala Shenoy, office-bearers B.R. Bhat, VM. enkatsh Baliga, Shrikar Prabhu, Kodikal Genesh Kamath, Katapady Sateyndra Pai, Babraya Kamath, K.C. Kamath, Halady Laxmidevi Kamath, Annapurna Kamath, Naresh Shenoy, U.S.A. Suresh Shenoy, Bacchodi Devdas Pai and Ullas Gadiyar were present.

Vedike convenor Vivekananda Shenoy gave information about the arrangements for the conference.  President G. Satish Hegde welcomed the guests.  General secretary Sanoor Narasimha Kamath compered.  Joint secretary Kanjarkatte Deepak Kamath prposed vote of thanks.
