"Aatida Abbara - Sonada Sadagara" at Shri Mahalingeshwara temple premises
Padubidri, August 6th, 2016:  "Aatida Abbara - Sonada Sadagara" programme was organised by Padubidri Lions and Lioness club in association with Navashakthi Mahila Mandali at Shri Mahalingeshwara Mahaganapathi temple premises on Friday, August 5th.  Janapada scholar and Ayurvedic specialist Dr. Y.N. Shetty inaugrated the function and in his address as a resource person, he said, "Let us celebrate by knowing the importance of Tulu months of Aati And Shravana first, as we we are living among those youth who do not even know the names of the Tulu months.  Our elders used to take home medicines during the month of Aati in order to get rid of the toxins from the body and give nourishment.  During the month of Shravana (Sona), they used to listen to various puranas about Gods"
Mahaganapathi temple's Heriditary Managing Trustee P. Vishwanath Hegde, Lions past president Ravindranath G. Hegde, Ganapathi highschool's Headmaster Ganapathi Bhat, SBVP school's Headmistress Sumathi Hegade, Lioness president Sucharita N. Anchan were present on the dais.  Lions president Sudha R. Navada presided.  Lions secretary Bhargavi Achar proposed vote of thanks and Lioness secretary Anuradha J.P. compered.  Ganapathi highschool students, Lions and Lioness members and others attended the programme.

Various delicacies of aati season were served during the lunch.
