Wideline Mulki wins Sriram Cricket trophy
Hejmady, May 23rd, 2016:  Wideline Mulki cricket team won the Sriram trophy-2016 in the state-level cricket tournament held at Hejmady Bastipadpu cricket grounds, organised by Sriram Cricketers Hejmady.  The final match with Hejmady Shivashakthi cricketers ended in a tie after it was reduced to two overs each due to bad light.  The winners were selected by tossing the coin and Wideline Mulki was lucky enough to win.
As decided in advance, the prize money was distributed equally among the wnners and the runners up, with each team receiving Rs. 40,000 each.

Naga from Wideline team won the "Man of the series" award.  Sharath from the same team won "Man of the match" award for the final.  Best bowler award went to Deepak from Shavashakthi team and the best batsman award went to Rohith from the same team.

Fisheries Development Board director Y. Deepak Kumar, the skipper of Padubidri Friends Cricketers Sharath Shetty and the best cricketer of the district Satish G. Malpe were felicitated during the occasion. 

Kaup Block Youth Congress president Vishwas V. Amin presided.  Kaup Block Congress president Naveenchandra J. Shetty, Padubidri Grama Panchayat vice president Y. Sukumar, Kaup Akrama-Sakrama Samiti president Narayan S. Poojary, Mangalore Aakar Associate's owner Sharath Mulki, Mumbai's Shashidhar N. Salian Manampadi, Padubidri Police station ASI Kamalaksha, Taluk panchayat member Renuka Puthran, Vijaya S. Bangera, Sadashiva Kotian, Praveen Karkera, Vikram Suvarna, Govardhan Kotian,  Sriram Cricketers president Mohandas Suvarna, skipper Shivaraj R. Bangera, umpires Suresh Yermal and Hareesh Padeel were present as chief guests and distributed the prizes.
