Lanco foundation school kits distribution
Lanco Foundation distributes free school kits  at Hejmady ZP Hr. Primary school
Padubidri, July 10th:  At a free school kit distribution camp held at Hejmady ZP Higher Primary school, UPCL's Vice President Ramachandra V. Bhat said that apart from providing basic necessity of power production, the Lanco Foundaton have long term plans of providing health care, education and drinking water distribution.  After symbolically distributing the kits to a few students he advised the students to to grab ample global opportunities in coming days through proper education.

The free kits were distributed to the students from Hejmady and Hejmady Kodi primary and high school students.  The Lanco Foundation is distributing the school kits to the schools located at the surrounding villages of its power plant.  Around  3812 students from 20 high schools and 25 primary  schools from Padubidri, Hejmady, Uchila, Yermal, Kuthyar, Belman, Balapu, Palimar, Mudarangadi, Yellur, Admar, Muklki and Kolakadi will receive schook kits worth a total of  Rs. 3,09,995 in the current academic year.  Each kit includes a school bag, 10 note books, pencil, geometric box, gel pen and drawing colour sets.

UPCL's Senior Project Manager I. Sudarshan Prasad, Hejmady Primary school HM Sanjiva T., highs shcool teacher G.H. Basavaraj, Hejmady Kodi Primary school HM Savitri, high school teacher H.S. Ramachandrfa Nayak were the chief guests.

School SDMC President Saraswati D. Karkera inaugurated the function.  Lanco Foundation's Co-ordinator Sudhir A.K. welcomed the guests.  School teach Rati Devi compered the function and Arun Kamat delivered vote of thanks.

In the mean time, an appeal to provide a projector for the science students was handed over to Lanco officials.
